Receiving Faxes

You can now receive faxes anywhere, provided you have Internet access! On sign up you will be instantly allocated a personal dedicated fax number, where you will receive your faxes, which will then be forwarded to your E-mail address. These faxes are received as TIFF or PDF attachments, which can be easily viewed with Image Viewer or Adobe Reader so you don't normally have to install additional software. These faxes can be printed, forwarded, saved on disk/network and faxed.

You pay NOTHING. It's FREE !! There is no cost to the receiver of a fax, i.e. YOU, however the sender of the fax to your computer from a normal fax machine will be charged R2.02 per minute on a 086XXXXXXX .

Receive: Local Fax

If you apply for this service, you will get a number that is on the Johannesburg, South Africa prefix, starting with 27(0)11xxxxxxx. This number can be dialed from International destinations and the caller pays normal Telkom call rates. You pay a subscription fee of R550.00 (excl VAT) per year, which includes 1200 incoming faxes (not pages), additional faxes can be purchased at R50.00 per 100. Your faxes are saved/archived for 5 calendar days.
